Our time in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic was fantastic
Flight arrangements, transportation arrangements were all on target without any discrepancies. Immediately upon arrival to the Bahia Principe we were advised of an upgrade to the Adults Only Ambar section of the resort. This location was superb. We have been spoiled already. Location is the key and this was just perfect...distance to the pool, beach and most restaurants. The Bahia Principe is HUGE and we were sooooo glad that we weren`t placed in any of the other resort locations with all those kids running around.
The weather was great and we would definitely do it again, same resort AND same location for sure nothing but the AMBAR.

| General Facility Description |
The Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro Resort is a complex, comprising of the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro and the Gran Principe Punta Cana. It is set above a beach of white sand, with 500 m of beach front. It extends over half a million square metres and has numerous tropical gardens, holding paths where clients can walk and, at the same time, enjoy the soft sea breezes and the freshness of their natural surroundings.

Bars: Lobby bar, Swim up Bar, Beach Bar, Entertainment lounge Bar, Piano bar / Karaoke, Snack bar: drinks, snacks and fast food till midnight. From then the 24 hrs. Service will continue at the Snack bar of PUEBLO PRINCIPE (only soft drinks will be served).
Selection of international, local, beer and soft drinks unlimited at the Hotel bars till 23:00 hrs. All local drinks at several bars of Pueblo Príncipe (to be advised by the hotel).

Gran Bahia Principe Bavaro offers two extensive lagoon-type swimming pools with children section. Large sun terraces and gardens with sun beds and sunshades Towel-service at pools and beach.
Water Sports Center on the beach and Diving Center.
Daily entertainment with live music; merengue and salsa, and a variety of shows held at the Amphitheatre, Disco, Piano-bar, Karaoke.
*The hotel just opened 2 new paddle tennis courts, fully equipped and with security glass screens which are located in our sports area.
The courts are not part of the All Inclusive plan, and there is a small fee to rent courts. They are managed by professional Paddle instructors, that will also offer the possibilities (with fee) to have paddle tennis lessons, rent racquets and balls or organize tournaments.
